Report from the 1st International Conference “Human – Technology – Safety in Industry 5.0”

On May 30, 2025, the 1st International Scientific Conference entitled “Human – Technology – Safety in Industry 5.0” was held, organized by the Institute of Management in cooperation with the Faculty of Management and Technical Sciences of the Managerial Academy of Applied Sciences in Warsaw. The event was co-organized by: the Bydgoszcz University of Science and Technology (Poland), Ostfalia University of Applied Sciences, Campus Suderburg (Germany), and the National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine (Ukraine). The conference was held under the honorary patronage of the editorial board of the Modern Industry portal.
The organization of the event was coordinated by Dr. Barbara Wyrzykowska and Dr. Marzena Kacprzak – Chairs of the Organizing Committee.
The international scope of the conference was evidenced by the presence of participants from four countries: Poland, Germany, Ukraine, and Indonesia. The conference program included a total of eight sessions – one plenary session, seven thematic sessions, and three student panels. A total of 95 speakers from both academia and industry took part in the event. The smooth conduct of the sessions was ensured by 21 moderators. The total duration of the proceedings amounted to 7.5 hours. The sessions were conducted in three languages – Polish, English, and Ukrainian – further emphasizing the event’s international and inclusive character.
Discussions focused on key issues related to the integration of humans and technology in the context of the development of Industry 5.0. One of the highlights was the expert and practitioners’ panel, which provided a platform for dialogue between the academic community and industry representatives. Another important component of the conference was the student panels, which attracted significant interest. The active participation of students from Poland and abroad underscored the important role of the younger generation in shaping the future of Industry 5.0. The student presentations were distinguished by their high academic quality and fresh perspective on the technological and organizational challenges of modern industry.
We extend our sincere thanks to all speakers for their inspiring presentations, to participants for their active engagement, and to the moderators for their professional conduct of the sessions. The conference served as a valuable platform for the exchange of knowledge and experience and confirmed the need for continued interdisciplinary dialogue on the future of industry in the era of advancing digitization and automation.
