About the institute

The Management Institute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) was established on 1 October 2019. It was distinguished from the Faculty of Economics (formerly named: Faculty of Economic Sciences, Faculty of Economics and Agriculture, Faculty of Agricultural Engineering and Economics), which was established in 1953. Thus, the Management Institute is a direct continuator of the Faculty’s research activities in the field of management and quality studies. 

The mission of the Management Institute is to serve the intellectual development of Polish society and the international community. The stated aim is to conduct scientific research at the highest possible level that contributes to the advancement of the discipline of management and quality studies. The basis of the Institute’s identity and success are values such as: openness to change, attention to quality, professionalism and innovation. 

The Management Institute, in its assumptions, conducts research and disseminates knowledge in the fields of: knowledge management, trust management, digital management or corporate social responsibility (CSR). The Institute attaches great importance to cooperation with national and especially foreign universities (e.g. from the USA, Germany, Turkey, India) and other research entities. The Institute cares about the high level of knowledge, skills, competence of its employees. 

The Warsaw University of Life Sciences received the decision of the Minister of Education and Science to award the Management Institute with the A scientific category in the discipline of management and quality studies.
